They're not on top of their inventory. Told me they didn't have the front door latch I was looking for and when I went back to the department, I found it on the top shelf. I had photos and their prices from a store where I live but I went to the store where I'm building. When I told the manager that she should honor the price at the other store she told me "no". Her store's prices were set by their district. I told her I wouldn't buy them there, then, and she was fine with that. Maybe $1,000 worth of fixtures for the new build. Other than that, they have unfashionable and old-designs plus some of the staff (not all) could not care less.
I think there is only 3 people that work at this store. One is at the only register open. The other works at the paint counter. And the third wanders from station to station when you press the help button (If he's not in the parking lot getting the carts). Staff is helpful but there is not enough!
At this point I am furious. I can't get anyone to call me back to schedule my install or get me a dishwasher that isn't destroyed. I am currently in the market for a refrigerator and a stove and I was wanting to purchase everything from Lowes, but if they can't even get me my dishwasher, I will never shop with Lowes again.
Another weeks goes by so we call Lowes back. We are told they got it in stock and we would schedule an install on that Friday betweek 9am and 11am. I took the morning off of work so I could meet with the installer. I get a phone call at 10:50am from the installer stating that the only 2 dishwashers they have in stock have holes in them and the only way I could get it that day is if I am willing to accept one with holes in it.......Who in their right mind is going to accept a dishwasher with holes in it?! The installer told me he would be back in touch with me when they got a new one.
A month ago today, Wednesday 11/29/17, we went to Lowes in Simpsonville and purchased a dishwasher, delivery, installation, and removal of our current unit in cash. We were told that they had a couple in stock, we found out the only one in stock was the display model. We were assured by the lady working in the back that we would get a call on that Friday, 2 days later, to schedule the install. About a week went by and we didn't hear anything so we took it upon ourselves to call them. The person at Lowes told us we had to call the installer. We called the installer only to be told that they were never contacted by Lowes to let them know it was in stock. We called Lowes back and was told that we would be called in the next week for the install.
Bought a dryer 10 days ago which had to be ordered. They told us the day they would deliver and said someone would call the day before to confirm and set up time. Yesterday was that day and when nobody contacted us we called late afternoon and were told the dryer was there and we were confirmed for delivery today. We received call saying they would be here between 12:00 and 4:00 and they would call when they were on their way. 4:00 passed with no contact and we had to call. We were told they would be late. Still no contact at 5:30 so we called and were told would be closer to 7:00. Still no contact at 7:30 so we called and were still promised delivery. Someone finally called at 7:45 to cancel delivery until tomorrow. Wasted 8 hours just sitting home and now have to get one of us to sit here again tomorrow. We had this day booked for 10 days and it shouldn't be our problem if they overbooked their deliveries. And with no contact from anyone unless we called. I am sure they knew early on they wouldn't be making it here today. Too many businesses now have show no courtesy to their customers.
One dude running customer service, wide open. Very professional and new what to do. I'm highly impressed with the level of knowledge I witnessed. Also, associates helped me find what I needed quick. Lowes has great training, it really shows.
I got off the phone and called customer service. The person I spoke with said they would call me back if they had one at another local store. About 6 hours goes by and I finally get a call back telling me there is one at the Greer store. I was then told that I would get a call back at the beginning of the next week to schedule the next install. That would have been the beginning of last week...here it is the end of this week and I still haven't heard anything from them.
