Upstate Karate is a fantastic place for everything from kids karate to adult karate or BJJ an fitness classes. I've trained there for almost 2 years and Ray Thompson is awesome. Stephen and Tony are incredible with the kids. They really manage to create a family and newcomer friendly environment at the same time as they provide high level and technical training. You know the training is high quality when there are professional fighters at the highest level training the the same place.
All the instructors are great. They treat the kids well and most of all, teach them the respect every child needs. Highly recommended.
Love Upstate Karate. A truly special place. My son really has learned specific moves that he can use to defend himself at school from bullies ... without hurting himself or the other child. When you see what they learn, you think how much sense it makes. All children should go through this training.
